Then of course you are to obey God the Father.
"Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, anyone who loes his son or daughter more than me is not worth of me, and anyone who does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me"--Matt. 10:37
Obviously God does want us to obey our parents, but He wants no man, woman or object placed above Him.
I want to make this very, very clear: the scripture above is talking about if you wouldn't want to do the work of God because of fear of offending a family member, etc. Or staying at home to take care of them when God has asked you to be in the field. That sort of thing.
Not when you don't get your way or your parents don't see eye to eye with you. I repeat,
God only asks us to go against our parent's wishes when they stop us from doing His will. This would be things like them asking us to murder, steal, etc.
The reality is, 99% of us will not have to forsake our parents for the Gospel. Even if they are not Christian, most parents intristically know a moral standard of what's right and what's not.
Also, if this ever came up, I would seek church council. A deacon you adore, a pastor, a leader you cherish...an adult strong in the faith. They can help decipher what is truly of God and what is only pretending to be.
