Just add Code Geass to this and there you have your angry rant episode.

I look forward to this.

Have you guys ever had a point where you stopped watching anime? How did you get back into anime after this anime-less time in your life?

Also, what mangaka has been the most consistent when it comes to quality in his/her works?

Sort of in line with Hat'n'Clogs question, but also something I've been thinking about since a friend of mine mentioned that she wasn't pleased with the end of FMA Brotherhood due to the whole god/truth/creepy smile dude. (:shady:)

1. Has the spiritual/religious content of an anime ever caused you to drop a series?

2. What kind of content/aspects of an anime would usually cause you to drop/dislike a series?

I was referring more to periods of time where you cease watching anime in general, not a specific show.

How do you guys feel about fansubs? Abomination, something to use for unlicensed shows, something to use for sampling?

Also, which shows need a spin-off, a sequel, or a prequel? Please give one example for each continuation type, or whatever the group term for all three of those is.

So, to continue a topic from the first episode, after you get someone to watch Baccano! or FMA and they really like it, what do you show next to bridge the transition between the new-person-friendly shows and the Paprikas and FLCLs?

Edit: Also, what anime/manga podcasts do you listen to, and which blogs do you read?

I've never triple-posted before!

What has your involvement with anime clubs been? How were/are they organized, if you led one, how did you lead it, how would you improve the way they're organized?

Also, use a segment to gush about obscure shows that you love, but you know no one else or only one or two people that like them.

This question made me think of another question:
What's the difference between fansubbing and learning Japanese and watching it raw?
Besides the obvious, intrinsically it's still making it available to audiences in an unlicensed manner. So is the wrong specifically in the liscense department, or are there other things wrong with fansubs?

What are some of you genre busters that exposed you to new stuff you wouldn't have checked out before?

What shows were you biased against but ended up liking when you actually watched them?

A lot more painful life for yourself, I would imagine.

- On the topic of genres, are there any genres in anime that you will give at least a first episode watch no matter what? Even if the story doesn't look particularly promising.
On the flip side, are there genres you won't give the time of day to?

- If you could create an anime/manga and it had to be based off of a board game (excluding tabletop games. Sorry, Mech.), which one would your anime/manga be based on? For the sake of conversation, please explain your choice. :D

I was surprised to see this already posted but I will second it:
What crossover anime battle would you like to see? Also, battle can equal a straightforward fight, a battle of wits, a contest of a particular skill, a sports match, a ramen eating contest etc.

Has an anime ever gotten you interested in the activity or pastime depicted; à la http://pics.livejournal.com/km_shea/pic/0002brp0/

Do you read any anime magazines? Do you think they are outdated due to the amount of information and reviews available on the net?

Do you read any light novels, if so, which ones?

Given a limited but decent-sized budget, what unlicensed anime or manga would you bring over to the states for Viz or Funi or whatever, and how would you market it? Would you dub it, where would you advertise for it, would you try and get it on TV, etc, etc.

Maybe you should try left-field subjects you never talk about, like the metric system and whether or not Fish can swallow a cue-ball?

Old vs. New anime. A lot of fans from back in the day like to rant about how everything sucks now and newer fans almost never watch old stuff, so what are your opinions on how much a newer anime fan should go back to watch classics, or if they should bother with Harlock when they can watch Madoka, and what shows do you like to point out when people complain that anime is less original than it used to be and is all Moe★Harem crap now because there are still fantastic anime being made.

Using the word otaku to refer to anime fans in general. A lot of people use the word otaku as a synonym for anime fan, and a lot of people get really annoyed by this usage. Do you think this is similar to the use of 'Yankee' by Americans where they use a term with pride despite the original intention of the word being to offend them, or do you think it's anime fans outside of Japan being stupid and not knowing what they're talking about.

Also, what do you think both we as anime fans and the anime/manga industry should do to better its reputation. Obviously getting people into stuff is one way, but how can we do more so that people stop thinking we're borderline child molesters.

Speaking of off the wall questions, have any of you ever made a blog? If not, have you ever wanted to? What would you put on it?

Is it just me or are people becoming more opinionated in this thread? O:
