I can't draw worth crap but I wanted to make this little 4-koma gag. The translation's below though if you don't speak Japanese the joke still won't make a lot of sense.

Translation: Nice to meet you.

Nice to meet you.

Are you Japanese?

No.

I'm...

a carrot.

Nice. I've always wondered why the kanji for carrot has the character for person in it. Although it's in the first slot, not the second: 人参。

I regret to inform you that you aren't using も correctly. It replaces another particle like が or を and so it has to have something before it. To begin a clause with an "also" you'd want to use そして or maybe あと.

That doesn't surprise me. I'm still learning Japanese so I'm bound to have some errors in there

Edit: Fixed...hopefully. lol

Sorry. I'm hungry.

Eat this.

Jeez. I'm not food.

That's a banana (wordplay joke of phrase "that's ridiculous."

Just thought I'd drop in to say that producing something of your own using the language you're learning is a great way to cement things in your memory, so it's pretty awesome that you are putting your Japanese to use this way. Image

Yeah, that's what I figured. Though there are quite a few mistakes my teacher noticed. She did find the punch lines funny thought.

As long as the joke translates, that's the main thing!

It's been a bit but here's a new poorly drawn Japanese comic strip.

Translation:

Who's that?

That's my girlfriend, Mika san.

Nice to meet you, Mika san.

Call me Mikan(orange).
