*Clears throat* Ahem! Here's the new original character contest thread for October. I've been fortunate enough to get to choose the next scenerio. I've thought about it, and here it is!

Your character has just met someone in the forest. It could be a chance meeting or a planned one. It could be an enemy, or a friend. It could be human, or not. You decide!

In case you're new this month, the idea of this contest is to make up your own character, complete with biography, and place them in the scenario described above. So draw a picture of your character 'meeting someone in the forest' and post it in this thread along with a biography for your character explaining the situation.

All entries must be received by the end of the month...right Jaden?

There are four catagories for winners, but I can't remember all of them right now. Hopefully Jaden will refresh my memory!

I really hope I can find the time to participate this month, especially since I already have ideas running around in my head. But homework has really been pwning my time lately. ;_;

Yup, although Jaden's still really in charge.

I'm glad everyone seems to like the scenerio. I chose it because of the extreme amount of possibilites it afforded. I'm super tempted to come up with my own version, even though I probably won't have time this month.

Best thechnical design.
Most exciting bio/personality/history for the main character.

Ok, so this does sound fun, but I have been SO swamped recently, I doubt I'll find the time. If I do though, I'll definitely join in!

I was going to try last month's, but I couldn't come up with anything. ^_^ I have a good idea now, so I'll give this a shot!

Bear (the guy in the pic) was blinded in a war.Feeling that his blindness would make him a burden he moved in to a thick wood to be a hermit.Two or three years past and his hands and feet became his eyes.He soon knew every rock and tree in the woods.As time went on a girl from the village nearby saw him and followed him through the woods she was intranced by him as she could see he was blind but did not stumble.


After she made her self known to him she came every day to the woods to see him and eventualy fell in love with him. The last day she came to she him she told him she must leave and they might never meet again.Bear took her in his arms and they shared one last tender kiss.

Well, it's the Thanksgiving long weekend up here in Canada. Yay for time to kill! I sketched this one for the heck of it during church and hacked some colour at it in Photoshop. Honestly, I was just looking for an excuse to draw a magic moose ;D

Name: Kali Dephenia
Age: 14
Biography: Kali was born in the village of Leiids, located in the eastward bounds of the kingdom of Trevayn. Her society exists within an era similar to medieval Europe in our world. Leiids is very isolated and the people live quite simply, in tune with the land. But the Kingdom has recently come under the control of a new king, a distant relative of the old king that may or may not have been involved in the elderly monarch's death. The new king is insanely determined to exercise an iron grip over the people and has begun to demand more and more of their resources, leaving villages such as Leiids struggling to survive.

However, the ancient powers within the land have begun to stir once again. This is especially evident to Kali; while foraging further than usual from Leiids, she happens to stumble across the legendary Mystical Muus of Entwist. The land ain't happy and the new king is undoubtedly going to hear about it. Very, very soon-
