Heh. Thanks =^.^=
Although, the main reason I went with that concept is so that I didn't have to do a real background...*can't do backgrounds to save her life and went photoshop tutorial shopping*

Yay! Welcome, Chii, to the circle of colouring buddies! =^_^=

Wow... that's really oustanding, RubyJS; I love the idea, and the background of the fire one kinda looks like it was done on canvas... very cool. ^_^ The addition of the kanji was a neat idea too.

Mmm... photoshop tuts... I love how you can create such neat effects in PS.

I had to play around with the scanned version to get the colors back to normal, but I did it! Here is my version, based on Starry Night. To see a version that looks even more like Starry Night, check this out on my DeviantArt.

[quote="RubyJewelStone"]Well here's my submission. I figure I better get it out early in the month or I won't do it at all when school starts.
I hope the fact that I pretty much doubled it isn't a bad thing...

BTW - The kanji are "fire" and "ice." (At least I hope so...>.<]

Either one would have been adequate to to get my vote, but in this case, more is more. They're so cool...err, hot... err, amazing!

Meboeck: Man, that's so cool! Very original idea, and I love the patterns you've used in the background -the swirly water especially. ^_^ I also like the way you've done the purple coral down in the bottom left corner. j00 h4v t3h L337 P3nC1L 5k1LL5!

Marty: Great entry, man. I love the whole space theme... and the background looks really nice too. ^_^ Good job! And... welcome to the circle of colouring buddies!

Er, heres my submission. Thanks for giving me something to do while I'm recuperating, Puguni...it's such a cute drawing...
I, uh, used GIMP for the whole thing...nothing stunning about it but...I thought I'd put it in anyway...
Nice works on yours, RubyJewelStone...It's my favorite...

That's great, Q! I love the yellow and purple tones you've used together; they go really well with one another, and I love the way you've got his/her hair looking so bright. And, like other poeple have mentioned, I love the patterns on her legs.
The background looks cool too; altogether it's a really cool entry. ^_^ Go GIMP!
Ooo... and I just noticed that there's a slight texture on the green background, too...

One more thing: is that Waspinator on your avatar? GO WASPINATOR! :jump: ...Although... he looks more like one of the other characters I can't remember the name of...

Welcome back, LQ! :poke: You're entering too? Cool! One question, though... what's the last day for getting entries in?

Thanks! I really didn't think it looked that good, but if y'all liked it...
RJS has the best one though...in my humble(or not) opinion...

About my avatar...Waspinator? *dies*
NOOOOO! At least you recognized the show...but it's a pic of Inferno(crazed ant thingy). You aren't the first to get it wrong.
I really am going to start a Beast Wars awareness thread now...

Beast wars was my favourite show OMG/// pm me the link to that thread when you create it! My favourite was the manta ray guy!

PM the link to me too; it's been ages since I watched that show, but I still loved it. I remember liking Airazor or however you spell her name... it was one of the very, very few transformers shows that had female transformers, lol.

But we'd better not get too sidetracked, here: this is the colouring thread, not a beastwars one. ^_^"

Oo! Beasties! I always liked Dinobot and Rattrap the best ;D

Well, here's my (unofficial entry) it's a wee bit on the scribbly side but I'm actually pretty happy with it:

Image

I seem to have fallen back into my old ways, lots of blue, night settings and glowing things.

Er, and that thing at the bottom is supposed to be a city ^^;
