The snow flakes are brushes that I designed.
I looked at magnified snow flakes for reference.
Yes I did use the scattering effects, then I layered them.
Also her crown is another example of a brush that I designed.

I’m glad you like it. ^_^ thanks.

Bleh, I'm sick. *sniff, blow, cough* That means I'll be spending my time sleeping instead of coloring. Some nice entries so far though. Yes, I think everyone so far has used shape brushes...snowflakes or leaves. Very cool.

I hope I'm doing this right...this is the first time I've submitted to a contest here, and I couldn't find a list of rules.

The thumbnail takes you to the page with the full size, high quality version. (900x1100, 372.35KB)

The smaller, low quality version for faster loading can be found here .

And yes, I too mistook her shoulder for hair. :sniffle: I didn't realize it until after I had finished and re-read this thread more carefully to try to find posting rules. My apologies, I hope it looks all right anway. :red:

Very nice my friend with the Shakespearian name. There are no real posting rules, as long as you can tell that it is the same picture that was originally there... Interperting the shoulder as hair is fine, I often interpurt the pictures in a way that is not expected. For instance, I might inturpert the shoulder as a fish. hmmmm. Thats an idea...

ooh, wow, I must admit, this has become my favorite so far. VERY nice compostion, Lady Macbeth. Your deep color scheme pulls it all together.

Fish? There is nothing fishy about her shoulder! Ehehehe...pay no mind to Scribs. His entries are always more than a little wierd. ;)

Yet another artistic tragedy in the life of Scribs. Bizarre man.

<reads question> Uh, yeah. Moping around the house with a cold is no excuse not to color such a nice picture! Besides, I'm feeling a bit better so...here ya go. This is about only about 1.5 hours of work. I'd should have spent more time coming up with a more interesting background but... <wanders off to find the cough drops>

Enjoy.

Neck/shoulder line? <Looks for it again> Ah okay, I see the neck now, at least the top of it. The line becomes ambiguous once it mixes with the hair. I'm not sure whether her back is toward us or away from us, hence the confusion I think. Course, I can blame my mistake on delerium this time around. ;)

I use photoshop 7.

Photoshop CS (creative suite) is the 8th and latest, but I understand it's nearly identical to 7.

Hmm, really? I'll blame that on delerium too then. <bg>
