The Harry Potter Trivia Thread

With a new Harry Potter movie on the horizon and the final book coming sooner or later, I thought we'd see how much we know about everyone's favorite wizard. Here's how this works: I'll post a question and the next poster has to answer it and post a new one. I'll start with an easy one.
1. Name all four houses at Hogwarts.

That is easy. Griffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff ( I always want to say Whiffenpoop... that would make the series interesting).
Okay... who were Harry's dad's friends in school and what were their animal forms?
