Has anyone read books written by him? What do you think about them?

I have read Catcher in the rye, Franny & Zooey and Nine stories. I like them all, but I think I have to read Franny & Zooey again because the translation I read was terrible.. Maybe I'll understand it better with a better translation.

I read Nine Stories. He's a good writer, if a bit disturbing at times. In one of the stories the main character commits suicide, for example. I read Catcher in the Rye a long time ago and don't really remember it.

I love J. D. Salinger, though i have heard some pretty weird things about Criminals, and his books.
Where is the Remaining Spring?
Where the waters run so swift.
Am I doomed to wonder? Forgotten? Alone?
Within this Mortal drift?

It'd be all like:
"Hey! You want to come over tonight?"
and they'd be all like:
"Sure! Where do you live?"
And we'd be all like:
"You know that Bio-dome out alittle west in the woods?"
And they'd be all like:
"...:shady: Yeah...?"
We'd say:
"There!"
Then they would slowly back away while we are all like:

I liked The Catcher in the Rye. I found Holden's story and personality very interesting, but I disliked the extraneous cursing.
