Well then,
I suggest putting your hands on the back of your rib cage, taking a deep breath through the mouth, and feeling your ribs expand as your chest fills with air. Oh, and don't move your shoulders. At. All.

This sounds immensely dark...
Though accurate at the same time.

I felt like doing a how to series. I forgot to do my next one: How to drink water.

Let's not forget, for full access to those high notes that you can barely reach while singing, take in air as deeply as possible. Be sure you can feel your diaphragm expand. Perhaps we should make singing and yoga subsections here......

While we're at it, we could include breathing exercises for anxiety and giving birth. ;)

Yes please! I'm going to need the second half of that in several months.Also, keep your throat relaxed and do not have dairy products before strenuous throat activity.
