Alright I'm having trouble getting mkv files to play on my computer. I have the latest TCMP version which is supposed to support mkv. It has the haali media splitter, the matroska splitter, I have vod sub... I have all the divx xvid and the audio codecs so I'm confused as to why I can't get this to play...

Here's what it says when I try to play it on Media Player Classic:

AM_MEDIA_TYPE:
majortype: MEDIATYPE_Video {73646976-0000-0010-8000-00AA00389B71}
subtype: Unknown GUID Name {31435641-0000-0010-8000-00AA00389B71}
formattype: FORMAT_MPEG2_VIDEO {E06D80E3-DB46-11CF-B4D1-00805F6CBBEA}
bFixedSizeSamples: 0
bTemporalCompression: 0
lSampleSize: 1
cbFormat: 170

Should I d/l the latest ffdshow? If so do I need to uninstall all my old xvid ect codecs?

Before you do some codec-stuff, try VLC
