Once Upon A Time

New ABC show. I am addicted.

It's like Enchanted meets Fables (and I hear the show was originally going to be a live-action version of Fables but things changed). It's not the best-written show, or smartest show, or prettiest show, but...

It has Rumplestiltskin.

I'm there.

(P.S. Thoughts on the Sheriff's identity? Big Bad Wolf or the huntsman from Snow White? I hope for the latter.)

Not sure how I feel on this show yet it's high quality but the acting is bad and I don't like the main girl

Yeah, I like it but the acting and writing is bland and I would have MUCH preferred a Fables adaption than this and Grimm. :/

I've got a strong feeling that this will end up being canceled, too...

I can see two tops. If it gets a third (and doesn't wrap it's story up by the end of that) it'll probably be around for a while.

I've only seen a few episodes of Terra Nova but it does seem like something that is too expensive to keep producing if they aren't getting the viewers...I did like that one episode where those kids get stranded in the woods and have to fight off the dinosaurs, that was all pretty cool.

When you have five major TV reviews say this is the best show on tv right now and the pilot episode was watched by 13 million viewers and received a 4.0 rating in Adults 18-49 as well as rated #1 drama debut among adults 18-49 and ABC's biggest debut in five years. It's kind of hard to say that series is going to get canceled.

From what I seen of it, it is okay. The writing and acting is not great, but I have a feeling since it has writers from Lost, people are so zone out over the fact that it has Lost writers not to see the bad writing.

I'm particularly more interested to see how they reinvent fairy tales, and which ones they'll choose. Grimm seemed tailor-made for my tastes, but the pilot failed to hook me. OUaT has a goofy charm that for me makes up for its deficiencies.

Also Robert Carlyle.

And I believe the show is getting a full season at the very least.

I would like to see this but I am watching so many things right now that I don't think I have time for it. It does look like an interesting concept though.

My prediction is that this show will start strong in the ratings and then taper off later. When I saw the promos I thought to myself, "I don't see this lasting long". I guess we'll find out.

The more that I have watch it, I really enjoying it. It has gone really good in the pass few weeks and Red Riding Hood story had a heck of a twist in it.

I am okay with this thread being bumped! =D

Once Upon a Time is one of the few TV shows I'm watching currently and it does indeed get better and better each episode (it started out rather good already). Like you, Roy, that Red Riding Hood twist was crazy. x.x

Plus it's not a crime drama like almost everything else on TV, and I'm always okay to get away from crime dramas every once in a while.

I enjoyed it at the beginning but it seemed to drag a bit. I'll have to catch up now that its getting better.
