Help!!!

Postby TheMewster » Wed Mar 23, 2011 6:02 am

First off, the obligatory God bless you. Anyway, I had my computer install updates and turn off last night. (At 10 pm if that helps) Anyway, it is about 9 am and it is STILL stuck on update 1 out of 12. I am posting this on my mobile phone which does not support faceybooky games and I REALLY WANNA PLAY MY FACEYBOOKY GAMES! So would it hurt to turn off the computer while it's updating with the power button? Thanks and God bring you peace, love, and joy, brothers and sisterz.

Sounds like it hung, 11 hours for one update is ridiculous.

You need to shut it down...hard, and start over.

Yeah normally it's dangerous to shut off in the middle of an update, but if its hung up, whatever damage would be done has already been done. Not much left to do but do a hard power cycle and pray. When it starts up you should probably try installing the updates again before doing anything else (but not while turning off this time).
