When is that shot taken? If it is sometime during the third Hobbit movie, then I must argue not guilty, as he clearly runs out during the final battle. Now, if he, like the other elves, were accused of living in the Matrix, then I would declare "Guilty!" and fall over laughing.

well they are elves. If they were living in some Matrix-style world i would not be surprised.
I am uncertain as of now exactly when said shot was taken, but you prove a good point against it as he did run out of arrows eventually. I believe this to be a shot from the Hobbit, so....
