My exposed femur
Is a proud white tower
Jutting out of a ruined landscape
If i were an ant
I would climb its proud peak
But i am not an ant
I am a man with a broken leg

I feel like I should have something clever to say about the actual poem but I don't, so I'll just say I think it's cool and a little tragic, which is an acceptable response I hope.
That aside, what exactly did you do? Is it the first time you've broken anything or do you write poems about all your injuries?

it's not about me, actually. It's about something rather gruesome; that is to say, IED injuries. I've seen a few of them; they aren't pretty, and in a perhaps morbid turn I decided to write this.
