I'm thinking maybe we could organize some challenges and other stuff through this thread too... and of course use it to keep a running tally on wordcount and encouragement and stuff.

I'm still debating. The largest project I've done is 44 pages - just under 17,000 words (within two days over the summer a few years back) and I would love to recreate that story with more depth. I just have to find the time to weave through my neverending load of schoolwork. xD

So, I'm definitely going for it and I've added a bunch of you. Here's my profile and stuff: http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/450050

I'm bending the rules slightly in that I'll be doing a story that I've already started, but I'll only count what I write in November toward the total.

After the first ever NaNo I participated in was over, I learned that people used October to create outlines, which sort of blew my mind because it was so obvious and I didn't realize it, XD. Also, I think that first year I decided to do it on a whim last minute. Today, I outlined a good chunk of my story. We'll see if having some semblance of a plan helps me write faster.

I actually don't consider that as rules bending since I did that for 3 years running. :P

This is the first October that I've used as outline month though I used to sort of outline in my head before this time.

I have two stories I'm considering and for one of them I'd be adding to some existing writing(which badly needs a rewrite, but not for nanowrimo).

I have been thinking a lot about both my stories but not really doing much outlining, so I'm still not sure which one to go with. Both are still pretty underdeveloped unfortunately.

Also, yay Orica, I really liked the parts I read on your blog. :)

My main character still doesn't have a name, and I don't have too much of a coherent plot yet, mostly just vague concepts and ideas. But...I still have a little over a week to get something worked out, and if I don't...oh well! I'll start writing on the 1st regardless.

Finally have an account up, here it is. ^^

I have two ideas I think I'll use, working on the better-figured one while I develop the other, and eventually work on the second. ^^ If that's decipherable. XD

And yes, I've buddy'd whoever I could find. o.o XD

Hey guys, this is something I found on the NaNo forums. It's a word count goal for each day of the month and what ends up happening is that you only have one word to write on the last day.

NaNo forums wrote:Week One
Day 1: 3346 (It's day one! Go for it!)
Day 2: 3216
Day 3: 3101
Day 4: 2986
Day 5: 2872
Day 6: 2757
Day 7: 2642

Week Two
Day 8: 2527 (This is the hard part. Week one is out of the way, but you've still got some painful quotas left. Just do it!)
Day 9: 2412
Day 10: 2298
Day 11: 2183
Day 12: 2068
Day 13: 1953 (Almost there...)
Day 14: 1838 (Almost there......)

Week Three
Day 15: 1724 (Halfway point! After this, you'll be writing less every day than everyone else!)
Day 16: 1609
Day 17: 1494
Day 18: 1379
Day 19: 1264
Day 20: 1150
Day 21: 1035 (Less than a thousand words a day after this!)

Week Four
Day 22: 920
Day 23: 805
Day 24: 690
Day 25: 576 (That's a single good Word War! Feel free to laugh at the people with over three times this quota today!)
Day 26: 461
Day 27: 346
Day 28: 231

Week Five
Day 29: 116
Day 30: 1 (Aww yeah! One word left! Make it a good one!)

I think I'm gonna try this method because I have a good chunk of final projects to work on for school and they're pretty much due at the end of the month.

I'm doing it this year. :D On to the 4th year! I had to skip last year, I feel doomed to do things in un-nice 4s. Instead of 5s. 5s are so much nicer...

So I decided at the LAST minute to enter this year! XD
I am writing out my Webcomic Stick Monkey Chronicles' entire story (or as much as I can) Hopefully this will help me write the comic faster when it's done! :D

So far I have 1334 words! Only 300+ To go today! :D

But...I'm sleeping now. XD

Went to bed early last night; got up early today. I've already gotten up, dressed, and done my grocery shopping. Raaargg! Bring on the writing!

By the way, I'm going to try to follow that word count plan that Rushia posted. I'm the type that runs out of steam fast so having a smaller quota toward the end of the month will be a good way to do this.

Also my main character still doesn't even have a name soooooo...this should be interesting.

At 1395 words before going to school. I should be at over 3000 by the end of the day if things go according to plan.

I'm going to try for the 1666 word count a day...I'm long-winded, lol. I won't be able to write anymore until after school though... such a loong day. Maybe I'll pass the time by sketching out my characters XD.

So much to do! I hope I can continue! (lol, that rhymed.)

Ante, don't be discouraged, it's only the first day! And still very early at that! (Unless you live somewhere else, and in that case, Don't Give up!)

I was going to attempt that schedule Rushia posted, but I don't think it'll work, so for now I'm just going to write as much over 1667 as I can every day.

Currently on 1198.
