all the character names come from greek roots so you know Chloros(one of the roots for plant) is the prince of the kingdom electros(electricity) his father(constallous, constellation 3) and mother (floros, flower)die in a fire Chloros and his brother(constallous 4) who was supposed to be king was banished because he tried to kill chloros so if chloros died then he was cast out when the king died they'd be screwed if they needed a king and so one of the people in his undercover operation to carry out a coup would become ruler. Chloros becomes king and his brother continues his operaton. The citizens think chloros wouldn't make a good king because they think he isn't a skilled fighter so he can't protect the people because in this land kings must be involved in the wars that happen so he goes into mma to prove he is a skilled fighter the mma part is like what a Zelda games call a sidequest it is mostly him trying to find the person who killed his parents( spoiler alert it was his brother.) he finds out his brother wanted vengence on his parents for banishing him. He set the fire and lied to chloros so chloros would live and their parents would die in hopes the the rage chloros felt would him turn evil and he would join them and together the will rule the galaxy stars wars episode five reference anyone? anyway his innocent nature made him say I'll never join you! again episode five same scene. ok no more star wars references so chloros stays on the narrow but he must still bring his brother to justice so chloros sends out a steal drone to track him and find his base he locates the base and plans to bring his brother to justice but instead finds his uncle(oh, i forgot the royal family knows secret moves that no one else knows.) and they fight chloros doesn't know he is fighting his uncle until he uses a secret move chloros says how do you know that? his uncle(who i need a name for) tells him he is his uncle chloros screans no, that's impossible! (sorry I know i said no more star wars references but it was a wide open door) anyway chloros says why are you working with constallous? he says because he thought he was trying to help the kingdom but he didn't realize by help he meant murder th royal family. constallous walks in the uncle says You, You killed my brother now i will destroy you! the uncle almost kills him but chloros stops him saying let him go for now but he will pay for what he's done the story ends with an all-out war when constallous has an army I'm debating if i want to pull an Akira Toriyama and make you think it is over then I come back with a new villian and then a series that takes place in the future.

I feel dumb, please ignore my last post. When can we expect to see some artwork? Also will this be web-based or print ?

RefractedAhav, this thread was 9 months old before you replied to it. Pretty sure this "project" is going literally nowhere.

I haven't had much time to sit down and actually draw characters or anything I have 1 sketch of the same character which would be chloros in multiple forms I can't decide if I want him to be built with proportions similar to that of android 16 or if I want him to be shorter or less muscular and I also have a sketch of him in an evil form called dark chloros he looks somewhat like the winter soldier but with crazy long spiked hair and mma shorts and if get my laptop fixed I will try to upload these drawings so you can see them and I'm warning you right now my manga art makes an infant's art look like a Picasso it is horrible that could be a hyperbole or maybe I just think that because I compare my art to that of a pro mangaka which makes it look that way. I'm saving money to buy a scanner as soon as my laptop is fixed and I have a scanner you will see my artwork so yes go ahead breathe I'm making some.

Okay, so the character designs are copies that I've seen a dozen times before. And one from a film that came out, what, last week? It's a dead tired cliche anyway. You can't even try to pretend your ideas are original. So tell me, what's going to make someone want to read it? They'd pick it up, scan the back, and say, "I could just read Dragonball." That is, they would, if you could even make it to publishing. If you weren't aware, publishing isn't strolling into a company's office, throwing your manuscript on the desk, and telling them to put it in stores. Publishing is a business, and if your story's unsellable, they're not buying. So, again, why would anybody care about your one dimensional characters or your lifeless world or your uninspired story?

Ow, no need to be so hash right? If you say stuff like that so cruelly it could crush a growing creative spirit. People who draw, first learn to draw by months or years of drawing other people's art. Then they draw original characters with the style of other art, then they develop their own style. The same is for writing. They begin by writing based off inspiration of something else, then they slowly progress their own original ideas. There is nothing wrong with taking someone's idea and recreating it with your own original spin on it. So long as you don't mess with the original's things, sing inspiration as a kick start is a good thing. =)
