That Kaoru sketch is nice ^^ The shading's an extra plus ^_^
For the second pic, it's also cool that you made it clear where the wind is blowing, probably what you need is a bit more practice on the proportions. A basic "keep-in-mind" is that from the legs down it should be slightly longer than from the waist up. At least that's what gives anime characters those super-model looks
