I love your style. :wow!: That's really cute. I like the cute stuff. :)

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Yeah, I really know what you mean about the hypnotized state. I need to make her pupils darker, but most Japanese images I studied from had really dark pupils that almost looked black, but actually were not. ^_^
I actually want to get into character design and not manga. I like manga a lot, but I dont feel called to it as much as other stuff.
Yeee! God has blessed me so much. ^_^

People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.

First off...Hi!

Don't think we've meet yet, I'm Archan!

But now back to your pick, very very very very nice! :thumb: What media did you use? Is it PS or Illustrator? It has a photoshop feel to it though....in whichever case it's still very good. I luv the lighting you did for the eyes, as well as the highlights and shadows you did for the hair. I read you saying that it was a rough and you wanted to do more work on the shirt, to be honest though your rough lines on the shirt and in the hair and around the shoulders compliments it very much...I would honestly keep them and just leave it as is. If you want to do something more however you might think about putting some kind of organic BG in the pick. Like, an artistic brush stroke or something to that nature, that way it would make her light skin and her clothes pop out even more.

Also, I would so leave the eyes as is. I don't read a hypnotic state from her, just more of a suttle emotion which I actually like, gives people more of a chance to read more into your piece, like ,"What exactly is going on behind those eyes?"

Overall I think it's great and mainly should be left as is.

Character Design huh? Sweet....have you had any experience in turnarounds and character sheets? If so I'd luv to see them. As well as more of your work...

God Bless,
Archan

Hi! Nice to meet ya! ^_^ I always enjoy meeting new people. I am glad you liked my work, I am actually using a program called openCanvas. It has the same, if not simplified, features as Painter. But since it is more simple, it is easy to catch on on how to shade things and stuff. Once I get better and figure out Painter more I will probably just switch to it. XD Yay!!
As for Character Design...I havent done much work *yet* but hopefully that will change in the next month or so, especially with me getting out of school so then I will have a TON more time to devote to artwork. Right now I hardly have any. -_- Uggg....so much school. Well, take care. God bless you too.
