ooh ooh JoC! Very nice Photoshop work.

I would recommend redrawing the character, and coloring him so he'll blend in very nicely with the background :thumb:

okay here's my latest. It started with a sctetch of an eye, the left eye to be exact, asa i played SP quake ii on my aged lap top. i scanned th line art then colored it all on my lap top. since its an LCD screen the colors change if you mave, so it was VERY difficult.... then she just kinda came outta no where.

wow...Very nice job, Ruroken! :thumb:

I see you're using 'hard colors' (normal in anime), shades of colors aren't made into a blend. That's perfectly fine. ^^ I like your choice of colors (bright and vibrant, nice!) and proportions. You're getting more creative, that's great!

My only minor comment would be the lines. It doesn't look very smooth. Do you think it's a resolution issue? It seems like you scanned the image at a smaller resolution and blew up the size of the picture, thus resulting in the jagged edges on the lines. Is that so?

Awesome, I'm very happy to see your progress!! :jump: You're good in Photoshop effects (lights and background), I haven't learnt how to do that yet!

 you stole your parents' scanner? My parents don't even know how to work a scanner! I see...well, what resolution are you scanning your images in? what dpi?

EDIT: I say, that's a mighty fine pic too that Tychuis one. I do see some jagged lines part too but it's not as obvious as the previous one coz you have less long flowing lines (the hair).

well i was kinda boed so i did one of tychius rather quickly. I KNOW i can to better if i spend more time. i just need patients, and not to mention the fact that the mouse id rater jerky on the lap top. how does your line art come out so well? and you do know that the pic of the girl is actually bigger than the page, right? its not that jagged.

How does one keep linearts smooth? All I do is make sure my original drawing is drawn smoothly and I scan most of my images at min. 150 dpi. For higher quality resolutions, I go for 300 dpi. ^^
