Drawing help

Postby Cayl » Thu Jun 06, 2013 9:44 am

I've been really busy with graduating and other stuff recently and kinda got out of the hang of drawing anime stuff. I wanted to start again but I (quite honestly) stink; I find myself looking at my other drawings and wishing I could draw as good as I did back then. So I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place with free drawing tutorials or lessons that I can use to try to get back to being good. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

C'mon, if you say you stink you aren't going to get anywhere. It's better if you don't put yourself down like that when the sky's the limit. I sort of know the feeling of wishing I could draw like I used to. I sort of got artist's block a while back and now I'm trying to get it together.

If you're looking for some drawing tutorials I'd recommend looking at these links:

Hope I helped some.

I would strictly avoid using "anime" how-to-draw tutorials, seeing as most disregard anatomy for style.

He does? I guess he's good at rendering, but I don't see much connection between his rendering and his manga artwork, and definitely no videos showing how to connect the realism and the cartoon style together so you can use proper anatomy when cartooning, unless they're buried way down there. I've seen his books too. I was also disappointed by them.

This gal makes the connection though. I am aware she draws Mafia cats. Bear with it.
