*Wide eyed* Is it a coincidence I saw this post (quoted in Goldy's post, that is) as the song Bad Apple came on in Itunes <33

*Holds back a squeal* Ok, I'm ok u_u

One thing I liked about previous shows is that you used to discuss big, upcoming movie releases, a segment I really enjoyed.

I suggest you start doing it again or suffer the consequences.

I have spoken.

It'd be too redundant with all the movie threads on the forums anyway. *Shrug*

I think movies could be a good topic. Maybe not on every episode but once in a while.

Dryer sheets: a dilemma! :?: Can any brand challenge the seeming dominance of Bounce? Perhaps Snuggle? Hmm...but that bear looks rather insidious...I do not trust her/him/it(???). Which (if any) do I buy?!? I know the CAA podcast can come to my aid! Please help!

If I recall correctly, I think movies will be in the line up anyway, but I could be wrong :-?

Lets see what we have so far..

Suggestions
-Forum Happenings (Contest throughout the board)
-Zombie Apocalypse
-Winter Olympics and the glorious sport that is Curling (or Monkey Curling) xD;
-OVAs/Movies vs. Series (the drawbacks/benefits of each)
-Anime Canon (titles that you feel that everyone who calls themselves an anime fan should have seen)
-Which anime to show an open-minded friend that has never said anime, but is willing to give it a try
-New technology coming out or rumored to be coming out
- Anime's current trend of outsourcing of animation to Korea
-How do you watch your anime (Do you watch the dubs on tv.. wasn't sure how to sum it up)
-Reintroducing yourselves and how you got into anime
- Japanese culture (dubs vs subs)
- Shoujo series (for us girls.. all guy podcast..)
- Objective view of anime
-Movies Movies Movies.. Did I say Movies?
- Dryer sheets (lol)

...the last episode was too long.

can we make split into parts or less long?
and were u guys eating during it? i kept thinking that i heard chewing and clanking silverware. :)

...also you should talk about the chatbot and the chatbot conversation thread. that thing is hilarious.

Standard episode length is one-to-two hours. That's par for the course.

Episode length.
Was there a download issue or did you just not want to listen to some thing that long? We did put a break point in the middle of the show, and the length will vary depending on the topics in the show, so knowing exactly why you think it's too long really doesn't help.

Also, I would prefer that comments specific to a show (and the off topic ones) be kept off this thread, since we use this to plan the show, and scanning through a good 20 or thirty posts to find A topic is gonna get old really fast. The thread for each episode is a good one for episode specific comments. Goof off is a great place for the rest.

I'll address the other comments in this thread, but again... there is a thread for each actual podcast..

Silverware. One of the podcast team members has to record in their kitchen of their house or they run the risk of getting disconnected, hence the minor clinks and clanks, since they don't live alone.

Finally... the suggestion.
A clarification of the suggestions guidelines, first off.

Please refrain from suggesting topics that are existing threads on the forum.

Since all the Podcast members are forum members, any thoughts we have about specific forum thread would probably appear in that thread. We used to talk about forum threads and we found it was both redundant, boring and often extremely late to the topic.

Our recordings will probably be about a month apart, so anything popular just after a podcast airs might be completely off the first page of the forum by the time we talk about it. I'd prefer to avoid verbal thread necromancy, so aim for questions that aren't already part of the forum, especially news related stuff.

We could talk about the chatbot maybe, though honestly it would be a really short segment since there isn't a whole lot to say, at least on my part, and one of the other podcast team members doesn't really use the chat. That and I'm older in forum membership than the chatbot so it's... not that entertaining to me at this point.

Finished up episode one last night and thought you guys did a good job. Due to the recommendation that you gave it, I now have Princess Tutu on my Amazon Wish List. Also feel like I have to watch Baccano! now...
----------
So, a serious question for the show:

How do you feel about a TV series based on a manga that catches up to the manga's plot but has the budget to continue? Should the show just end a la Berserk and Hunter X Hunter (granted this had OVAS, but still)? Or, should the show create original content/an alternate storyline a la the first FMA or Rurouni Kenshin? What are possible advantages and drawbacks to each option? Which do you prefer as a fan? Which would you choose as a director?

Wow, I'm just now getting to see this. I would love to but alas my info of Touhou could not last more than three minutes and I have no mic. You may want to get Twila27 for that.

For ideas:
-Pretty good series or bad series, why you didn't like them, what could of made them better.(Could be anime, manga, movie, or american tv)
-Favorite animation style or art
-Music you cannot get out of your head.

Oh, here's a good topic: things (as in a particular manga or game or light novel) you want to see adapted into animated form. Here's another one: things that you think did not get a very good adaptation that deserve a second chance at being brought to life through animation.

What shounen series would you suggest to someone who watches shoujo primarily, and vice-versus?

Also, for the section of the show where you discuss the first episode of a series, it would be cool if you could give us a heads up ahead of time as to which series you plan on viewing. That way the rest of us could watch it and therefore follow your discussion.

Hehe I love the show you guys!

I'd be willing to want to know what you guys think of American-made "manga" or even what webcomics you enjoy! :)

Also: what do you think of American YA novels that are being made into Manga... James Patterson's MaximumRide, Daniel X and Meyer's Twilight series are examples of this. (compliments of Yen Press)

Let's put the C in CAA! I think the three presenters (and possible guests) can answer the following w/o breaking CAA laws:

1.) What denomination are you?
2.) Have you been this denomination all your life?
3.) What is your favorite thing about your church? your denomination?
4.) Who is your favorite Christian thinker? Why?

I'm going to say pass on these, since there's now way of answering them well, particularly 3, without breaking site rules or causing someone to break site rules responding, at best, or actively angering members of the site at worst.

Also: I don't want to.

Yes, I agree with this. All denominations are different, but really it shouldn't really matter.

Good ideas though! But it might spark some unwanted tension. >_<

EDIT: Just thought of something:

I currently write a column for my campus newspaper about being healthier. Of the anime character universe do you guys think there is any character that stands out in living a healthy "lifestyle?" IE- working out, eating right?

1. What do you think about anime merchandise, like art books, plushies, figurines, model kits etc? Do you own any such merchandise, think it’s a money-making gimmick or just a natural part of most forms of “screenâ€

I come bearing more lame(or fun?) topic ideas~

What elements about an anime/manga make you want to keep (or start) watching/reading it? (i.e. the art, the OP/ED, the character design, the pretty colors...etc.) Explain why and give examples~

If you were to cross two (or three) anime/manga with each other to create a new series, which titles would you use and what would be the title/plot/character types/art style of the new series?

As we approach con season, you can talk about your con experiences; the pros and cons and such. Not sure if that would give you much to discuss though; besides, "Cons are really fun, but there are a lot of creepy people there as well." XD;

Cake, pie, or cobbler? Discuss the pros and cons of each, as well as your various experiences (good and bad) with them. Yes, this is a serious question.

Yes, but apparently I'm not random enough for the masses. 8C

Or people actually thought I was a co-host of the show and not just an interviewee. XD;
