Violence / Gore: One of the central characters gets picked on by this one nasty player in a game. This leads him to seriously injuring himself. One player threatened with scissors for speaking out of line and interrupting a group meeting.

Nudity / Sexual Content: There is one hot spring episode where we see the players naked (mostly their backs). Also, one American girl comes over to visit a player and ends up being found once or twice in a bed with little clothing on.

Potentially problematic theological themes: You still have that player from the first season who believes in lucky items and luck in general.

Other potentially problematic themes: There is a good amount of swearing especially during the brief American flashbacks where "Engrish" is said (Japanese attempting to talk in English).

FINAL VERDICT: While this season has more questionable stuff then the first season, it was not any less enjoyable. It doesn't have that grand finale that he first season had, but it explores a lot of friendships, the psychology of the players, and overcoming insurmountable walls. Certain classy players unfortunately take a back seat and others still have yet to be shown much, but a third season should fix that (hint! hint!). The music and animation are great as always, and the characters never fail to be interesting and entertaining. This is highly recommended although non-sport fans may find the first season a little more interesting than this season since it focuses more on the sport now.
